About me
Hi. Thanks for finding this page.
I'm 200hr Yoga Alliance certified and trained in breathwork. I teach Yin and Vinyasa in small groups of up to six, and one to one sessions. Everything in English.
The studio is a 40 m² space in a courtyard off Vinohradská. I picked it because it's intimate and quiet, and because after class we can stay, chat and have a tea.
Book your next class with me, beginner or intermediate. I adjust to whoever is in the room.
About Yoga
Pick what suits the day. Most people end up doing all, in different weeks.
Yin is a slow, floor-based practice. You hold each pose for three to five minutes, mostly seated or lying down.
It feels more like meditating than stretching. You stop reaching for the next thing and rest with where you are right now.
It works well for people who sit a lot, or who find it hard to slow down at the end of the day. We have blankets in the studio, so no one gets cold.
Vinyasa is a flowing practice. Each movement is paired with a breath in or a breath out, so the pace of the class follows your breathing.
It is warmer and more physical than Yin. Standing postures, sun salutations, a few balances. Nothing acrobatic.
You don't have to memorise the order. I cue the breath and the shape, and you follow.
It suits people who want to move and not think too much about it.
Aromatherapy yoga is a slow, floor-based practice built around stretching and releasing. Long holds, mostly seated or lying down, you stay in each position long enough for the body to actually let go and release tension.
Essential oils are diffused through the space during the sequence. The scent signals to the nervous system that it's safe to soften, which is what allows the release to go deeper.
Not ideal if you're super sensitive to strong smells, but you can always let me know before you come and I'll adjust the dosage. It doesn't have to be strong to work.
About Breathwork
Breathwork is where we go deeper into your parasympathetic nervous system.
Slow, even breathing to calm you down. Faster or held breath to activate your body. Same instrument, but a different effect.
Every class starts with a short technique, five to ten minutes. Here you might feel a change, whether that's settling in or waking up.
Most people end up keeping it for themselves between classes, in daily life, on their own terms.
Rules
Nothing strict. Mostly so you know what to expect.
